I have RA and have been on Methotrexate for about 2 years which worked well until a few months ago - have no clue why. I'm wondering about this collodial silver and if anyone has tried it & did it help ?

Hi JazzingJersey, yes I have tried it, it seemed to work wonders in the beginning and I landed up spending a fortune on it, however, now a few months possibly 6 to 8 months on, it does not work that well. I still use it occasionally but even the "Bees Knees" ie the strongest strength of it is not that effective any more...maybe the potency wore out or my pain threshold is lower not so sure why.

Thank you ! Do you have RA ? I'm also looking into Black Seed Oil...

Yes RA was diagnosed about 4 years ago, tried different DMARDs they gave but finally after one year weaned myself off all as I was getting worse and was still in pain.

Got much better after six months or so (after testing a million things mostly food and attitude changes)! I figured out what suits me in terms of foods and what aggravates it.

Its is now just in one right wrist. (pain was almost every where before)

Its a 10 page list of dos and don'ts...from food to supplements to natural remedies. I don't share it because everyone is different, but if you want I can email it to you and you can try things out...there is nothing dangerous in it! haha)

Most important one is not to stress about anything, no matter how worrying or painful.

Yes, I use black seed oil and seeds every day. The oil is hard to swallow (half tea spoon a day) so I apply it instead, on hands or hair, for the seeds, I dip a toothpick in honey (about one centimeter in) and then in the seeds and have whatever sticks to that...about a quarter teaspoon at most I guess. Also have apple cider vinegar (with mother), mixed with honey with hot water. The only RA related medicine I am now on is 5mg of prednisolone which I hope to bring down to 2.5 soon too. No other oral pain killers needed now by the Grace of God.

Hope this helps, my RA said it would return with a vengeance if I stopped all meds, but I decided to take the risk and did it very slowly over many months and feel so much better for it...still alive and much stronger....only time will tell. Will be 65 this month so happy to be functional :) every day is a blessing after the awful 18 or so months of pain.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you exactly what combination works for sure, as I do so many things to keep the pain away, but I know for a fact wheat, milk and sugar cause me pain almost immediately!

Hope this helps, May God Bless you with good health soon!

Kind regards,

Rubina

Yes, I'd appreciate the 10 page list -I'm sure something will hit home and help after all the research you've invested time into Yes you can send it to me.... debelrusso then add the aol... if I put the entire email, I got a message from this website that it is personal info. It is interesting that you stopped meds - Prednisone is a steroid - not a RA medication. It is given for various ailments to decrease swelling which in turns will help with pain management. I am Seropositive which I guess is just my luck. I do not want to switch to Humira and I too was told my disease will progress and get worse if I stop medication. I tried doing what a Naturopathic MD suggested, then saw a Functional Medicine MD who just did so many blood tests and the only thing I really benefitted from was that I do not metabolize folic acid so I have to take Methylfolate 15 mg. I ended up back with the RA Dr who put me on Methotrexate after a year whereby the two integrative medicine drs were unabel to help control my symptoms. I have been taking the ACV with the Mother for 2 weeks now. I DID sleep without my iphone meditation last night and woke up this morning PAIN FREE. So, Now I'm wondering about the EMF (electronic magnetic fields) that are associated with all electronic devices that I'm using !

In the email caption please put something I can identify in case it goes to spam "Health unlocked ?? " maybe that is good enough. Thank you so much !!!

Hi, Yes I know Prednisone is a steroid :).

I meant it's the only medication I take which is relate to the RA pain. For RA, my list has the DMARDs tried and stopped and was told my pain did not warrant a more "expensive" drug (NHS in UK lol!). In a way am glad, as am not a fan of meds anyway due to all the side affects. Long term prednisolone is not ideal, but hoping I can end that eventually too. It is a small dose and if I am really really careful with food and stress its sufficient. There is no cure anyway so I am told.

Yes, EMF certainly affects it too! Would turn my wifi off if I could at least at night for sure.

Will ping you when I have sent the doc.

Hi Akapie,

Not sure its such a good idea as the list is very specific to my condition, I do not want it seen as advise - I am not qualified to do that.

The list is just what I tried and didn't try and its affect on me. It contains a lot of non food stuff too like a daily diary of sorts.

I have no objection in sending it but as you know I am just a patient not qualified and not recommending anything, just sharing my journey, like yesterday I had a parsnip and leeks and onions medley and woke up with no pain, so will be trying that for few days more then back to normal foods to see if that is was reduced my pain. Very unscientific!

Wish I had studied nutrition and had a lab haha!

e mail me if you still want it. bina at live dot co dot uk
