Advice needed

Hi everyone, I have a flare like never before,hands burning hot with pain so bad I've got up in the night to put them in cold water. I'm only on Sulfasalazine after having anaphylaxis after 18 months on Retuximab ,then lung problems on Baricitinib in May21. Have an appointment for November 21 at hospital. I'm thinking of coat doing myself ---'any advice welcome😕😕

Hi, I don't know if this is of any help but sugar can make arthritis worse,

Feasted on chocolate on Saturday so perhaps that's the trigger,thanks for replying

Do get in touch with your Rheumy team. It would seem that sulphasalazine is not controlling your RA without a biologic. You need additional treatment now not in November! At the very least ask for some Prednisolone in the meantime.

I use OTC Tylenol Arthritis, CBD, and then Prednisone or Lortab for such break through events - depending on how bad the pain is, where it is, and what I have to do in the next 10 hours.... Sugar is a trigger for me. I think I have a chance to work it out of my system with water and movement if I have it in the morning. When I have it in the afternoon and evening it seems to hang around and explode when I sleep.
