Anyone have polymyalgia rheumatic? I am under 50, but I have been experiencing all of the listed symptoms. My shoulders feel horrible at times. As if they're trying to crack themselves off. Also very sore around the joint like sore muscles. Lots of stiffness and limited range of motion when the pain is bad. My arms literally give out when pushed pass range of motion. Also hip stiffness and neck pain kind of like early or late stages of a stiff neck. Always fatigued with trouble falling asleep due to discomfort.
What are your symptoms?

I have PMR and got it when 52. If you go to the PMRGCAUK page on this site, and post a question, you will find lots of advice, information and support there. It is a very active page!
So sorry to hear you have this condition I know how painful and debilitating it is as my Mum had it. I hope you are being monitored at Rheumatology Clinic. Just wondered if you had had the flu vaccine?
Hi there, never had it myself but my late husband did . He was given steroid tablets and did recover from it. You start on a high dose then they are reduced each month , it worked for him. Good luck & best wishes.
There is a group on this site for PMR. And yes I've had it for 4 years. Although rare it can effect people as young as their 30s so just because you're not 50 yet doesn't mean you don't have it. There are two simple blood test that can suggest you might have it. The ESR (sed rate) and the CRP (C-reactive protein). Both of these tests test for inflammation. But inflammation can be caused by other diseases so it is not a definitive test. Treating with prednisone can significantly reduce or even eliminate the pain from PMR. However PMR pain does not respond to analgesics. Pain from PMR is bilateral meaning the pain is on both sides of your body. It typically affects the shoulders and the hip area however it can be in your upper thighs and your groin area.
