9 weeks post op knee replaxemnr

Hi sorry I have wrote on here a few times

I am struggling to get the swelling down on my knee seems swollen at back as well

I do ice

Has anyone anymore ideas

Or can tell me when people’s swelling went down

My swelling only started to go down at around 8 to 10 weeks. But I was driving my car at 8 weeks and back at work driving my bus at 11 weeks. It could be as long as 12 months before both knees look the same. In my view, they will never FEEL the same.

The best thing I did, once the dressings were off and it was confirmed I had no infection, was go to a massage therapist and got her to give deep tissue massage along the incision line and all around the knee, front and back. This is to ensure no scar tissue forms.

Hi Lynnee1964 , sorry to hear you're struggling with swelling at the moment, hopefully things will improve in time.
