Arthritis in wrist
I cannot guarantee this will work for everyone, but I have arthritis in all my joints and the ones that were bad the hospital made an appointment for me to have steroid injections in those. Having been down that route before I wasn't keen, I changed my diet to a clean diet and also started taking turmeric with black pepper, CBD capsules and Vitamin D. Touch wood they have been really good (apart from my hip) just the odd twinge. Hope you find something that works for you.
Possibles for reducing pain: splint , CBD oil, tumeric & honey capsules, arthritis gloves, creams with chilli in, voltarol, and last resort painkillers most likely NSAIDS. If you do take alcohol whisky just before bed helps some people. Do try exercises for arthritic hands which can be found on line they help keep the joints subtle but need to be done frequently every day. Oh just one thing I speak as an experienced sufferer in my thumbs & wrists for many years as well as other joints. Its about managing the pain not necessarily curing the problem. Good luck with finding the best releif for you.
The Arthritis Action has some excellent and helpful information. Here are some hand exercises that might help.
Twiggy ,I have arthritis starting in both of my wrist. I’m going to find out when I go to my gp in April what I can do. Mine is starting to get very painful and it’s also making both of my wrist feel very weak as well.
I agree Twiggy , Mine can also be very painful. Depending on the day. Mine is actually just starting in both of my wrist . Been feeling it for close to a month or so now. Mine only fear right now is if I start dropping things do to it. We’ll see I guess.
I had painful thumbs years ago. The gym I went to had a see-saw sort of thing, where you put weights on one end and pressed the other end down with your thumb. I did two sets of twelve once a week and the pain went. I also eliminated margarine and sunflower oil from my diet. I believe in cutting down on omega 6 and cooking all food from scratch.
