has anyone tried using tumeric supplements for arthritis or general wear and tear? Have you had any benefit in terms of reduced pain or stiffness by using it and are there any brands or combinations in capsule or tablet form that work best that help absorption ? If you have had improvement in symptoms over what time range did you notice them?
As I mentioned to someone else on here there is a fb group Turmeric User Group Uk. They are a fabulous group with a wealth of information, wonderful helpful admin, also the recipe for Golden Paste and they have recommended suppliers of Turmeric capsules some with a discount. They really know their stuff and lots of people have had help for their animals with good results. There are lots of files to read about all sorts of ailments that Turmeric/ Golden Paste has helped. I have bought a jar of turmeric ointment from a local woman who makes it, and use it on my osteo arthritic knee. As a doctor's daughter I tend to be very sceptical about such remedies, but as we're all aware, conventional medicine has its limits with this disease. I apply this stuff night and morning- it smells nice and rubbing it in is quite soothing , but I can't say that it's really effective.
Do we need more good research on turmeric and osteo arthritis?
