Hi everyone, I'm retired and living in a rural area with my husband and a Dog and Budgie. Arthritis is now beginning to bother me. I've had one hip replacement and now I have it in my back, shoulders, hands and neck. My hands and arms give me the most problems.
I like good drama on TV, reading and love living where I do. I enjoy walking the fields and along the canal towpath.
I need to lose weight to improve my mobility and control my Cholesterol. I don't want to take pills

Welcome. Yes keeping to a healthy weight definately helps with pain and mobility issues but can be difficult when we become less mobile because of pain and stiffness and the pounds start to pile on. Try and help the chlorestrol with diet as many of us have side effects from the tablets. Nice unfortunately have the famial type of high chlorestrol so watching my diet and more exercise didn't do the trick so my only recourse was tablets.
It must be lovely to live in a rural area with ready access to good walks.x
