You can lead a horse to water but .....

Hi Guys. Some of you may know that for the best part of a year now I have been attempting to help people with arthritic conditions. I've offered a free fitness training package comprised of; resistance training; massage; electro acupressure; inversion therapy; intrasound and reiki . I've been on the local radio and advertised absolutely everywhere. I also collaborate with the NHS/Arthritis drop-ins. Uptake on my offers? I've had one person enquire about herself and her teenage son and when she discovered that it would involve some effort on her part...... They didn't turn up . I think it is something to do with the fact that most people wait until the doctor tells them that they have a big problem and then they feel that they cannot do anything to help themselves. There's a well known story of the chap who had an x-ray and was told that he had a 'shadow' on his lung. A few weeks later, he was gone. During the process of archiving his medical records, an old x-ray from 10 years before was found and that same IDENTICAL shadow was there, but no-one had told the patient.

Once the doctor had told him....... .

My friends think I'm crazy to have tried as long as I have. I'm just about on the point of giving up. Two more months. Come September, that's it :-(

Don't lose heart, someone might turn up!

I did weight lifting in 1948, it helped me.

People living near you must be mad not to have a go !!! Sometimes they just don't want to help themselves

Hi there.

I have just caught up with your posts. Whereabouts are you based? I am in North Yorkshire. Anywhere near? Many thanks Denise

Hello Denise. Thanks for your message. I've been searching for someone to undertake the full course in order to demonstrate the efficacy of my method. That's why it's foc.

However, it really has to be someone with very easy daily access to Redcar. Sessions/treatments would likely be 3 times per week and each would be between 1 to 2 hours. It's not a case of monthly or weekly I'm afraid.

Thanks again and all the best.

Light, love and laughter,

Reg .

Thanks for your reply. I hope somebody takes you up on your offer. I am using all kinds of treatment (except the medical kind) and I am making myself walk and exercise and taking up aqua-aerobics in the next two weeks. If nothing else, it keeps me positive and feeling better in myself.

Wishing you all the best.

Denise

If only people knew that by pushing themselves they go through the pain barrier, I have had 4 hip replacements on one side and spent many months in hospital but by swimming and doing aquarobics I am doing fantastically, gardening and leading a normal life---exercise and more exercise go for it . Don't give up on them please.
