Advice please

Hi there been diagnosed with arthritis but they think it's drug induced after taking mynecycline for years!! Stopped taking the tablet 14 weeks ago but still in agony anyone else had this please?? I'm 32 xx

Do you mean the broad spectrum antibiotic? Have you been diagnosed with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis?

Did someone suggest to you that ceasing the antibiotic would reverse the arthritis?

It's 14 weeks so have you had a physiotherapy or OT referral? Has your GP/whomever suggested a referral to a Pain Clinic?

I don't recall seeing someone with your specific enquiry here (doesn't mean it hasn't happened) but perhaps it would be worth your while to look at the Arthritis Action website for information there or to call their helpline?

NB: I searched all of HU for minocycline but could find no indication of mentions on this Arthritis Action forum: healthunlocked.com/search/m...
