Painful day today.

Today was awful with my arthritis pain . The last 3 hours were the worst of my work day. The pain in my hands were unbearable and could barely grip what I was trying to pick up at the time. It was all I could to to keep my eyes from watering. Plus my whole body felt tired by mid day this afternoon as well. Today has been the worst so far for this week. When it gets to the point of loosing grip in the hands it's bad. I just hope tomorrow isn't this bad. Damn arthritis pain, I hate it.

Sorry you are in so much pain, hope you can get some help and feel better soon. If only there was a quick fix.

My heart goes out to you. I recently lost my job 23rd December to be exact due to the fact I could not do my job because of the severe pain in my hands and wrists. 2017 has not got off to a good start for me. I to hate this disease and wish they could find some treatment to reduce our pain. I am on methotrexate but to be fair it's not doing as well as some people on here have found I still am getting flare up days where the pain becomes unbearable. I am 54 and feel like my life is over with nothing to look forward to other than constantly being in pain and bored stiff now. The only plus side for me I have a very supportive family network around me and they keep me going. Hope you feel better soon take care and just keep pumping the pain killers

Sorry to hear your medication is not helping you. Should you not be on more medication. I was dx with psoriatic arthritis 2 years ago they started me off on sulfasalazine then put me on leflunomide to take that with the sulfasalazine plus's pain killers. I don't seem to be in somuch pain as I was in before take care

I hate it too. I've had it a little over 4 years and it's already affecting my well being . I'd hate to think where I'll be with this by the time I'm 50. That only 8 years for me til I hit that age. It's all over me now not just my hands. The hands is where it started a few years ago. I get to tired to do things I enjoy because of the oa.

Like I said it was very painful. Plus the bone below my middle finger on both hands constantly stay sore. It hurts to put pressure on them. My right is worse than my left hand and I am right handed. Today hasn't been as bad but the temperature has dropped here and has been cold here today. Colder temps usually makes it worse for me too.

You know this may sound trite, but it helps me with my hands - open and close them 20 times a day. Also I have this squeeze thing - it's like a black little box with yellow squares on top. I press the squares which are tight yet flexible and it helps with the circulation. Keep the hands moving.

I do feel for you!! I have the same problems with my fingers, hands and wrists. Sometimes if I just touch a joint by mistake I feel like flying through the roof. Some days I can't even open my toothpaste or hold onto the toothpaste. By the time I get dressed and ready for the day I am exhausted from the pain. To pull on socks is a killer also. I can't wait till summer and less clothes to put on. 😄
