About this time last year I was having issues with my right foot and ankle do to my arthritis It got bad enough last year I ended up using my under are crutches to stay off of it. January was the worst this past winter. The pain this time seems like it's worse than it was last winter and it's just starting to act up again. I guess I need to pull out my crutches again . My arthritis has been awful this past week . It's been acting up quite a bit. Nights like this are sleepless for me . I end up tossing and turning all night. If I do fall asleep in end up waking back up do to shooting pain that I get. I was hoping I would have another winter like last year. It looks like I'm going to anyway. Oh well. J. D. Quinn

Here we go again.
Hi JD, it just isn't fair that all of this is piled on you along with anyone on this forum. I wish arthritis was never invented. My knees are getting worse, my right foot is always stiff and I used to love walking. Sleeping is the pits - the aching legs wake me up too.
No one really understands the pain unless they suffer from it also. I think I'll change my name to Crabby Patty. Take care and all we can do is fight on.
Sookiedee, I'm not really sure how I'll feel by the time winter gets here again. I'll probably be very uncomfortable more than likely. I think part of what I'm feeling now is nerve related. The reason I say that is I have pain in the right side of my lower back and it runs through my buttocks all the way down the side of the leg too the foot at times. It's been going on for a couple of years now but I'm feeling more this year. Some days it can take me to my knees it get so bad. Even if I move the wrong way. I'm sure you've experience those days as well take care sookiedee. J. D. Quinn
I hate this condition and feel for you. Not that helps a jot I know 😞
Thanks Sue I do too. I will say I do have fears on what it'll do to me in the next few years. It already feels debilitating. My fear is will it take my motility, and confine me to a wheelchair? How bad will it get for me? Some days I do feel like I need to use a wheelchair. Thanks again.take care
Just take one day at a time I too have chronic pain and find if I concentrate on the present moment ,not what's past or what's too come it's less mentally draining .I started doing exercises in the local swimming pool it helps a bit hope your pain decreases for you
Mo1944, I don't know what worse the pain from my arthritis or the fatigue when it hit me. Fatigue is just as bad when I get it. My whole body has felt tired before and all I've wanted to do is just sit or strech out on my couch and fall asleep. Cooler temps have come back in for the weekend so we'll have to see how my arthritis does. Have a good weekend Mo1944. J. D. Quinn
JD, have you ever considered epidural steroid injections? I was looking up sciatica, and the definition sounds just like you described. I have yet to discover why my lower back is painful - just wish there was ONE doctor who had all the answers
I agree with Sookiedee that the lower back pain you describe going down your leg seems like a Sciatica pain. Mine seems to have eased greatly since I have been having acupuncture. Yes arthritis is the pits. I too tend to get those terrible unxpected pains in the ankle and foot particularly troublesome when the cooler weather comes. Once they start it seems to leave the whole of that area very sore and burning. Hope it eases a bit for you.x
Rosewine, the pain I have in my lower back and leg has been there for a couple of years. I get a warm sensation down the right side of my leg. Sometimes it's more intense than others. But any wrong sudden move I'll feel it in my back. Certain position are worse than others. I've read a lot by go ogling siaticia nerve pain, and every thing I read mentions all my symptoms. My GP know about it but hasn't done anything to relieve my pain. I told him about it at my yearly appointment. WebMD has alot on siaticia nerver pain. It has all symptoms that may occur. Take care . Sookiedee no I haven't had any shots in my back. I've read that some people have paralysis afterwards and ends up being confined to a wheelchair. They also claims the pain is gone but after a few hours from the shot or a matter of minutes they become paralyzed permanently. I've read that in several articles online. Some people don't have paralysis afterwards. Have you read that anywhere ? Just. D. Quinn
