Hi my temporary driving licence is about to expire and I phoned DVLA and they said I could still drive under section 88 if meet conditions. I have looked it up & I believe I do. Has anyone else driven under this section? And did you tell your insurance? Slightly nervous about it. Thanks

hello fowler01,

I drove for 6months with letter from dvla and expired license due to delays with paperwork with gp. I did not inform insurance but thinking of it now, that may be best practice. I had excellent telephone support at dvla end. Found this a really annoying period, sending big hugs! X
