Had pp in 2016 Jan and another psycosis in July not pregnancy related my mht are trying to disregard it and say it wasn't real cause I remember everything and it All and it wasn't proper cause I wasn't hospitalised. They are also trying to blame my partner and saying it's all relationship problems and to go to relate councilling

Hi Kerri,

Sorry to read your post and see you’re having a tough time. Are you in the UK like me? If so, it’s quite late isn’t it. I’m going to try and get some sleep myself in a sec... my husband is snoring away, headphones and some quiet music may be needed here!

There is a second opinion service for people with / who’ve had PP like us. You do need to be referred by your mental health professional, from how it reads on the website here: app-network.org/what-is-pp/...

If you’re worried can you maybe phone your GP in the morning and see if they can help too?

Sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. Try and rest tonight. I hope you have family around you to chat too.

Thinking of you. X

Thank you for your reply, I will call gp in the morning and see if they can help thank you I haven't slept properly for 2 days and family are all blaming him too cause I've grumbled about him to them which I can't help at the time when I'm in the zone 😢

That’s ok Kerri_123 you’re not on your own. I’m sure you’ve not been grumbling as you describe. Everyone needs a listening ear. It’s good and important to talk.

So sorry sleep is challenging for you. I often try and relax by focussing on one part of my body at a time. I think of a warm relaxing glow, starting at my toes and moving up super slowly. It takes practice but sometimes I don’t remember the warm glow getting to my knees as I’ve nodded off. Hope that makes sense.

The NHS website has a few pointers on sleep:

nhs.uk/live-well/sleep-and-...

I hope that maybe your GP / mental health team will help you with this too.

Logging off now. Sending warm glows your way. Try to rest, even if you feel you can’t sleep. Take care X
