Venlafaxine reduction

I've been diagnosed with brugada syndrome and told I have to stop my venlafaxine, I was on 300mgs and have been reducing it by 37.5mgs every 3 days, im now on 225mgs. I'm unsure if my symptoms are due to brugada syndrome or reducing medication, palpitations have increased and my resting pulse is 96. Tried to contact my gp today as broad green haven't yet received the urgent referral, I don't want to panic but don't know what the hell to do ?? Help please 😳

Hi mandviz

I'm afraid I don't have any experience of this medication. The following website may have some useful information choiceandmedication.org/ncm...

It must be hard not to be anxious, and your anxiety is presumably making your symptoms worse. I don't know if you could access any advice from your out of hours GP service tonight or NHS 111 if you need to talk to someone and don't feel you can wait until the morning?

Try to get some rest and try not to panic. I hope you're ok.

Best wishes,

Jenny x
