In short, yes.
Right from my booking in appointment with the midwife they were keeping an extra eye on me. Then health visitor (she's the one who got me admitted early on when my husband was too overwhelmed to see the seriousness of my problems). Then since discharge (6 years ago ish) I've been under the care of community mental health services with regular meet ups to check up on me. GP is also very hands on.
I don't know your situation but in my case I've had mental health problems since childhood and it's only now I have a child that they are taking it seriously. I see them as very much on my side and I'm grateful there are so many people to spot when I'm in trouble. I have a habit of thinking I'm ok, covering up, then very suddenly getting overwhelmed so they all know my early warning signs better than I do.
