I've missed a few episodes which relate to young people with various mental health issues, i.e. hearing voices, seeing people and animals others cannot see, etc., in a MH Unit in Manchester. I think it may be interesting?

Hi Lilybeth, I haven't had the chance to watch any yet. Yes they do look really interesting, they look quite hard hitting though (so probably best not to watch if feeling fragile). I see there're 6 days left to watch them on Iplayer so I'll catch up with them soon. Did you see last episode, what did you think to it?

Hi Andrea,

Perhaps I shouldn't comment if you haven't watched yet. Apologies for describing mental illness as 'interesting'! As you say, watching some of the young people affected was hard at times. I haven't watched all the episodes either, it was only by chance I saw an interview about the programme on BBC News on my day off.

As part of the Mad World Season on BBC 3 there was another episode last night relating to footballers who in some circumstances had taken their lives and also others coping with depression.

There is another episode next Wednesday which I think again is about young people with mental health issues.

Although PP isn't mentioned the programme on the 8th did give insight into the harrowing aspect of psychosis.

Best wishes.

Hi Lilybeth, I've watched the series and found it very good. Hard-hitting in some ways but I think it needs to be really. The insight into psychosis certainly struck some chords with me after my PP experience. I was also "interested" in the footballers one - don't know how else to describe it than "interesting"! - and I think the presenter was quite good too. Although I didn't experience the extreme lows that were talked about in this when I was ill, I think it was well represented, factual yet not too "in your face". Looking forward (if that's the right way to describe it) to the rest of the season.
