Is 15mg MIRTAZAPINE a high enough dose to help with depression?!?!? Seven weeks now taking it …… I read it takes 6-8 weeks

yeah just depends on the person take about 11mg as I quarter 45mg and not much difference to be honest.

The max dose is 45mg and I believe the lowest thereputic dose is 15mg. If it's not having any effect at all after 3 weeks it may be worth talking to your doc about increasing the dose. After 6-8 weeks you should see more of an effect.

I tapered off Duloxetine onto 45 mg Mirtazapine nearly 10 weeks ago. I haven’t felt well at all so my GP gave me benzodiazepines which I only take when I really need. Meds have never taken so long to kick in but maybe also COVId related. I am going to stay on them as cannot bear the side effects of changing to another anti depressant. They do help you sleep better and increase your appetite. Good luck
