13 days Escitalopram - side effects almost gone!

I’m so grateful to everyone who responded and encouraged me to keep going. Finally turned the corner after an unpleasant few days (day 4 until day 11) on 5 mgs when I had excessive yawning, dry mouth, brain-fog and exhaustion. Currently feeling good and functioning well. I just need to sort out the best time of the day to take the meds - - I’m currently taking in the morning but it’s taking a while to get going. I’ve been told to up the dose to 10 mgs tomorrow but I am worried I’m going to struggle with new side-effects. Any thoughts?

It will be worth upping the dose to get full effect if your doc advises it. You may get a slight return of symptoms but nothing like when you first started.

Thanks! In fact I’m now around 5 weeks, been on 10 mgs for 3 weeks and I can report all side effects gone! Feeling generally pretty good, sleeping better so I’d say the meds are working well. Thanks very much for responding. This site is really helpful! 😊
