so I have been on Pristiq for about 5 weeks. I really haven't noticed any benefit. I will continue for a couple more weeks, but if no improvement, i'd like to wean off. I am on 50 mg, have anyone weaned off and what was your schedule and withdrawal symptoms?

I have been on several different medications in the last 10 years and it has been the only one that has worked for me with no side effects. There have been others that are similar to it that I have tried like effexor but the withdrawal symptoms were horrible I couldn't even get out of bed for months. It's also the only medication that when I missed a day and took it again could feel the overwhelming difference in improvement in my mood. Hope this helped

I was on pristiq for 5 years. I’m currently trying to get off it of bc it’s just not working for me anymore. Weaning off of it has been pretty rough. I was on 100mg pristiq. I had to do 1 week of 50 mg, this week 50mg every other day. It’s been a very weird few weeks. I’ve had diarrhea, nauseousness, inappetite, foggy thinking, some confusion to where I have to stop what I’m doing, sweating, and some insomnia. I was hoping I’d never had to get off this med bc I’ve read that pristiq is one of the hardest to come off of.
