Some of us may be able to relate to this thought. This is a problem i think we all might share. How can we possible solve a hundred problems with one quick thought. It cant be done.... Bringing any and all future worries into the present and then trying to solve them... when were in a state of panic or high anxiety is completly impossible... This is where.. I think... the inner dialouge needs to be stopped... and a phrase or safe word ...can come into play... something that will stop the rampant stamped of worrisome and hurtfull images that crowd the Brain in times of stress.. I`v been stopping myself from letting the stamped get rolling for two days ...so it dont work right away... I`m in a high stress situation right now... and will be untill the middle of next week...I`m trying to maintain a minimal amount of (happy) right now... But i know if I can hang on.. In a few days I`ll be better prepared to contnuie with the purging of the never ending torrent of sad and negative thoughts I`m experiencing.... hope this helps.. peace and love xo steve
Pouring all our worries into a single mome... - Anxiety Support
Pouring all our worries into a single moment in time.
Hi Steve
Just joined the forum tonight and after reading your piece I've burst into tears! These things have overwhelmed me for months, trying to sleep at night with 4/5 different scenarios and worries and problems which I may not be able to fix or change buzzing round my head. I am often left feeling like I'm going crazy or loosing the plot!
Reading your words I feel marginally better knowing in some people it happens too!
Sometimes simple common sense answers the question...I mean we use our brains everyday to solve differnt problems.. basically all day every day.. But when it comes time to turn that logic and understanding inward some how we lose the thread. weird eh...lol. welcome... and post often we are all here for you...peace and love xo steve..
We all try to keep our lives (under control). If we could see in black and white.. like a computer print out ..the number of decisions large and small in a single day.. the numbers would be huge. Our brains are operating under a tremendous workload. All this happens daily and we accept that it will continue without realizing sometimes that the brain needs a rest.....It can overload overheat like a computer..Perhaps when the brain is overloaded it starts to send us a signal that it needs some repair or servicing. Learning to understand these subtle signals in the brain could be key to catching the more dangerous symptoms we all suffer from...
