My little one just turned 1 on June 28th and I miss her. Everyday I have to remind myself that I did right by giving my daughter to better parents.
Everyday I go through the motions without really living.
I have this cute hamster named Teddy and holding him doesn't always help, but sometimes I get some relief from my stress.
Money is not abundant right now and for the girl that is great with numbers...is terrible with money when I am stressed.
I just need a break.

Jump to repliesI'm glad to see you have joined a support group like this. We are all struggling with anxiety or depression or both for all kinds of reasons. I can only imagine the feelings that you have now. If you were not ready to be a parent or wanted to be a parent or knew you couldn't care for another, you certainly made the right choice to find a home for your baby girl. I am sure as time goes on the birthday will continue to be hard, but keep focusing on you. You have to be safe, comfortable, and well before you can take on anything more. We often forget that self care is the most important care we need. It's ok to be sad and missing her. You gave her life though and for that she will be eternally grateful. There are SO many compassionate and empathetic people on this site. We are all glad you joined and hope we can help support you.
Sounds like you made a painful, difficult but also selfless and noble decision. You may indeed also need a break from routine and some rest physically and mentally. We all do at times.
