One of my fav's! I also loved him in "The Traveling Wilberrys" Have you ever heard "Handle Me With Care"?
Oh I love The Travelling Wilburys, they are the best! As a teenager I loved both George Harrison and Roy Orbison, what beautiful voices. Always chokes me up to see that empty rocking chair with only Roy’s guitar on it after he had died…love their deadpan humour, even their name which comes from “We”ll bury it” which said quickly sounds like Wilbury and is actually what George said when somebody made a mistake “We’ll bury it in the mix”, henceforth mistakes were Wilburys…also love the names they gave themselves Otis Wilbury, Lefty Wilbury etc. What you see on their videos is friends coming together for a jamming sessions (if that’s what you call them) and having FUN - no lengthy practices for them! I agree, “Handle With Care” is fantastic.
How many mountains does a man have to climb?
It sure is my friend. I would like to check out Maggie's Farm one day. I'm currently knocking on heavens door but I am working really hard like a rolling stone. He and The band was my very first concert at the Montreal forum in 1974.
