How do you deal with the loss of an object that holds high sentimental value

Draw it and get it replaced and also write down what it meant to you. All your feelings and thoughts matter. Memories that you have just write and make art work

I do understand the loss of sentimental objects; I am grieving the loss of my grandfather's WW1 medals and his silver pocketwatch, They got left behind when we moved, and have not been found.
