I use a number 9H pencil which is pretty hard and I’m just doing the outlines the head Hass to be re-re-defined it’s a little too low but I am no longer hysterical as I used to be that it has to be perfect from the very big from the very beginning certainly 30 years ago I was pretty hysterical that everything had to be flawless from from the word go now after 30 years of practice very much like basketball or tennis or anything or any skill it’s become more muscle memory and I hand coordination is starting to take old but take hold take hold but it takes for me a supportive group of people that are in encouraging rather than others who always see the glass empty rather than the glass full

That may not be true for other people but it is true for me that I appreciate being around other people that share these interests as I do not sure share my art or much interest in the arts with other people as they don’t get it and it’s pretty much a waste of time

So long story short is I cannot think the people here I think environment place a great deal to do with the success of my art

Most writers and artists know that the people around them have a great deal to do with allowing their art to develop or die toxic people can kill a writer or artist spirit and conversely this circle of fellowship helps restore any artist or writer or reasonably sensitive person by that I mean I do not consider myself an exceptional artist I got this skill from all my father obviouslyBut he’s not here to share it with so it means a great deal to me to have my circle of friends or family or surface family you really have a major impact on my interest in art coming back

High, I do drawings of birds mainly, rough sketch and then make them for the garden out of recycled wood, I do not consider myself an artist. It is something I enjoy and I learn plus a garden of colour. Birds from all over the world that I will never see in the wild. I appreciate your work and thank you for sharing.

Hi and how are you today? I have attached some pics of some of my birds , they are all made from recycled wood and donated paint and vary in type and size. I am still very much on a learning curve and also experimenting with different methods of making them. I want to make some birds that can be seen with wigs outstretched, group pieces (three or four birds in one model). I have made and given away many and keep most for my own garden.I would really like to see more of your drawings brig57 ? . Take care and good fortune.

Long story short I stop because it’s just no fun alone. I loooooove show and tell where literally everyone gets to show their stuff and talk about it everyone is right or accepted about their works

I know those feelings; I used to draw and paint a lot; like most of my family. I had a excellent teacher in school, he encouraged me and I was planning to go to Art school. Animals and landscapes were my thing.

However, he became very ill and went to hospital; never came out. The next Art teacher was a young female, and she was all for the Abstract and experimental Art. I just couldn't get my head around it, and she was so awful about my efforts. My year end report was very castigating and my parents went to the school about it, but it damaged my confidence in my abilities, so I didn't take Art after all.

To Mr Carpenter; Thanks for your faith in me, I'm sorry I didn't continue, but I couldn't understand what your replacement wanted.
