Health anxiety

Hello I’m looking for support or ideas on how to cope with my 24 year old child’s health anxiety. I’m at a loss as to how to help, they are autistic (diagnosed with aspergers last year) and transgender, none of that is a problem to us or them. However they are convinced they have some serious illness as they suffer with chest pain, swallowing difficulties, stomach cramps and diahorreah. They often feel sick and restrict eating and drinking because of this. They are in a reducing dose of quiatipine as it actually did nothing and they’re allergic to most ssri. Their GP and psychiatrist say the tests show there’s nothing wrong but they do feel ill. I don’t know what to say, how to help them cope. Any ideas please?

Have they seen a dietitian or not? It is possible they might have endometriosis which is a stomach issue.

Could also be IBS or GERD? I suffer both and face all these symptoms. they won’t show up on blood tests or examinations X

I was put on duloxetein for pain and ibs and has really helped.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the quiatipine.

Autistic pp do suffer more from stomach disorders.

I’ve adhd,I gave up gluten and lactose and soy.with in two days I was bouncing around again after being stuck on the toilet 15 times a day not being able to swallow etc etc
