Poem 3: Strong

I had a baby boy.

Is that enough to prove my strength ?

Is that enough to prove myself ?

I did it. It was hard, but it happened.

Forget the plans, he came.

In perfect disorder

In the busiest time of the year

He came

Forget what I wanted,

Forge my expectations,

I transformed in 20 hours

Now I’m a mother

Something changed,

something is missing

I can’t quite understand

I don’t the link

They say trauma,

They say childbirth,

They say change,

I say his here

I really like how you named this strong. I felt your strength ringing thru the lines. Give yourself time to heal after childbirth. It’s hard on your body and emotions. 😊
