How do you handle it when you have to be at work but you are barley hanging on by a thread. Everyone around me thinks nothing is wrong and they are just going about their jobs like normal and I am dying inside with depression and anxiety!!
Any tips or ideas??

I take one task at a time, deal with that and move on. It helps keep my mind occupied. I also take a quick walk around work to keep my body moving. I've had days where my anxiety was quite strong, but work actually assists me in dealing with difficult feelings. Make sure you eat a good lunch and drink plenty of water. Strange, but that helps me also.
Be in the moment. Focus on your hands. Keep them in view and watch what they do as you work. Put a blank piece of paper in your pocket. Look at it as needed. The day is blank. No emotions. You’ll get through.
Thank you amyrrt! I know others are out there that share this terrible illness. It is so sad some of us have to endure this!
I 100% feel this way at work some days too! I try and wipe my mind clean. I pretend my mind as a chalkboard and just imagine erasing anything on it that may be distracting to me while at work. Keeping busy and trying to find the positive in my day helps sometimes as well. Other days I go into the bathroom at work and allow myself to cry for a short time, but then pull it back together and get back out there. Some days are better than others.
Please know this isn't a struggle that you are facing alone. It's hard, but you are strong
you really aren't alone in this boomba. I have been dealing with anxiety issues at work for the past few years. Mine has affected my health severely. What helped me a bit was cutting back my hours at work. I dont know if that is an option for u? Also talking to a counselor helped me a bit too. Just having someone to unload all my problems to helped. I know it's hard right now, but if you ever need to chat, feel free to send a message!
I used to be very good at hiding my depression not even my husband knew. I faked it well but it only made me more sick. Take a few deep breaths if you can journal on your break. If you hold everything in it only gets worse. Do you have someone you can confide in? I know prayer is a life saver for me...giving over my issues to God is the only way I sleep it through the day. I am praying for you and hope this find you better today. - Rachel
Thank you so much. I have a very personal relationship with God and it usually only him that pulls me through. Some days my hope isn’t as strong and I can’t seem to see the light. I have some people to talk to but don’t want to burn them out with my situation. Thank you for your reply and prayers!!
When I get to that point I turn my earphone up and let worship music play and He meets me there. I am so glad to hear He is your strength. He is a good God! Still praying for you💞
