The last week I have been waking up at least four times a night with overwhelming anxiety. Does anyone no a way to help fix this because I haven’t been able to do anything because I feel like I haven’t slept at all.

Chamomile tea my help and take Melatonin tablets and see if that helps, otherwise call your doctor if he/ she will prescribe something to help you sleep. A lot of doctors these days seems like they don't like to prescribe certain medications because of some people that abuse medication to calm us down or pain pills. Hope you something from your doctor.

I love my weighted blanket to help me sleep. I also fall asleep to old sitcoms playing on my phone (which may not be a good match for you). The white noise of the TV show and the lightness of the shows help me fall asleep instead of it just being silent. Maybe a sound machine would help.

i was having sleep issues also. the 2nd dr i saw finally prescribed trazadone for me. I tried melatonin and wasn't keeping me asleep the entire night. My dr told me melatonin is good to help you fall asleep but wont keep you asleep the entire night.

What type of anxiety do you experience?, I use to have this issue where I couldnt fall asleep and if I did I would wake up in 1-2hr and stay awake in the middle of the night with anxiety and anxious. And constantly nightmares

Is there something on your mind Tryingtomake it? It seems quite a recent change of sleep pattern. It took years to diagnose a sleep disorder waking up

in the night - but as I take diuretics and have a cat who wakes me up broken nights are not unusual. If you have any other symptoms like wanting to go to the loo, best to go to doctor. If the sleep issue is out of hand, a sleeping pill might help. Your doctor will help you. healthline.com has interesting info on racing thoughts which keep you awake, as does verywell.com.

Melatonin is a hormone produced naturally in the body, and certain foods such as pineapple potatoes, and bananas can help in the production. Sleep problems can be due to body rhythms and too much light in your room. Pitch black is recommended. I have a nightlight, on a surge plug under the bed. or open the curtains to let star and moonlight, and street light in. Not sure about melatonin supplements as unless they are enteric coated they might be affected by stomach acid. The sleeping pill works for me but if you are extremely anxious, and can't get to sleep it's best to get the right advice and medication.
