Has anyone had a positive response with gene testing regarding medications specific to treat anxiety and depression.

In this context, what is genetesting?

I have an appointment to have this done. The doctor takes a swab, send it off to test what medication will like be effective based on the genetic make of my body. What I’m reading is most people get little relief from psychiatric medications because they are the wrong medications for there body type. I get little relief from any medications I have taken in my life, so apparently this test will give a clear indication about what medications are best for me and my metabolism. I sons get why every psychiatrist doesn’t use this method.

It’s called Genetec.

Haven’t yet, but I’ve heard great things. My psychiatrist wants me to try it.
