I have been on Edoxaban 30mg daily since April 2024, after being taken to hospital with Atrial Fibrillation, was told this was caused by a bad chest infection, i had never before had Atrial Fibrillation. Since being on Edoxaban i have lost all taste and smell. Has anyone else on Edoxaban lost taste and smell.

I remember another member posting a few months back that they had a metallic taste in the mouth which is not one of the most common side effects of edoxaban, but it looked like it occured in him. In your case though, your without taste (and smell). Are you on any other medications alongside Edoxaban. Some drug interactions with it such as antibiotics, antihistamines, or drugs for respiratory problems can alter taste and smell.

No i am only on Edoxaban, i might ask my GP if i could stop the Edoxaban and try Asprin to see if my taste and smell returns. Thankyou for your reply.
