I just started 10 mg of Xarelto last Thursday. I’m having extreme dizziness and sense of imbalance. Anyone else have this happen? Is it a normal side effect?

Hi there. Yes, I had the same. If you can cope with the dizziness, keep going for a bit longer as it sometimes settles down. If it is unbearable, there are other meds that you can take. A lot of people find Apixaban more tolerable. x

Hi. To echo SpeedyH, I take Apixaban (Elequis) 10mg whilst also on Xtandi and ADT. Only had one dizzy spell in 17 months, after a hot bath. Keeping hydrated with water may help.Good luck.

According to the leaflet some dizziness is a 'normal' side effect (1 in 10 people), but severe dizziness is another matter. If it is severe or you have any other side effects with it, then I suggest you contact the person who prescribed it, or get other medical help as soon as possible.
