I had to have a biopsy under anaesthetic on Monday i was told that because I’ve had a PE and a DVT that i should keep my Stockings on for a few days! Nobody actually said how long! I took them off yesterday as i had my feet done yesterday so I needed to, should i start wearing my own stockings again? Please, what do we think?

Great thanks. I do drink quite a lot of water 2 litres a day but I’m not very mobile unfortunately! Is this a problem please?

It is important to be as mobile as you possibly can to help all aspects of your health. Perhaps contact your GP and ask to speak to the lifestyle advisor or social prescriber, who should be able to help you with a program of exercises you can do sitting down to keep your circulation flowing. Or perhaps the anticoagulant nurse at the hospital could help or signpost you to someone who can. They will be able to advise you about wearing the stockings too.
