I’m 33, diagnosed with PE about 6 weeks ago and have been on Xarelto since discharge 2 weeks ago. So I’ve been reading about it and saw somewhere that waxing as hair removal isn’t recommended; has anyone waxed whilst on any blood thinner?
And is Pilates a safe exercise to do?
I live in a separate country from my doctor and will only be going for my next check-up in the next 4 months.

When I was discharged from the hospital I had asked the nurse about what was safe to do for activity and she said walking was fine and to stop if it hurt or I was puffed out and to build up gradually.
I would say that Pilates is fine but listen to your body. Only 6 weeks since diagnosis is not very long, it took me a good year to get back to anywhere near "normal".
I can't answer about waxing as I don't use that but I am sure someone else can advise. Maybe you get a "test strip" on a small area
I had heard of the condition in passing and knew people who have been through it but never in a million years do you think blood clots will happen to you.
One girl I know had mistakenly thought that the only way to get a blood clot was to be overweight and a smoker as the warnings on her birth control had misled her into thinking that when blood clots can happen to anyone same as heart disease as no it's not the case that the only way you can get heart disease is to be unfit and unhealthy as I know plenty of people who by Society's standards were supposedly fit and healthy and slim and still got heart disease and varicose veins and things that supposedly the unfit and unhealthy only get which is not the case as these illnesses don't discriminate and can hit anyone at any time.
True! I was extra careful as i was pregnant, and the moment I got into labour I thought to myself “finally, it’s over; let’s push this baby out”. Only to wake up 10 days later in great confusion with tubes and pipes all over my body!
Yep I would love to cycle , scooter etc even with a helmet , but decided walking is safer . It is an Inhibition, it is sadly true . I buy prechopped veg, salad and avoid handling big knives . I wake up with small mystery blood bruises , scrapes as it is , doing nothing but sleeping .
