Do you mean having an actual allergic reaction? Or having allergy type symptoms? Or having side effects from the drug?

Lots of people have side effects ranging from mild to severe. I had allergic itching which I think might have been due to the nasty colourings that are used in generic Warfarin in the UK.

Looks as if mine may be due to colourings too but as yet unproven. Doctor changed me to Rivaroxaban yesterday. Severe itching and rashes all over body uncontrolled by anti histamines and prednisolone. Heres hoping that this will now end and I can get a decent sleep again.!

hi Mike, Like any medication, Warfarin can cause a range of allergic reactions - I'm sure you've read the patient Information leaflet that comes with pack. As others have said, you don't define the nature of your allergic reaction. I recommend you speak to probably your GP or whoever prescribed Warfarin and get their advice. Good Luck TopCat.

Thanks, allergy with spots rashes etc but not yet any connection specifically to Warfarin which has been one of my medications over two years. Now on Prednisolone to try to get rid of effects and get some sleep, but this will alter warfarin dose soon I expect. Standard and prescribed anti histamines haven't worked at all.

Thanks for helpful comments.

Prednisolone was a nightmare in itself for me!! We're all different I guess. I certainly would not have slept taking that drug. . Good luck with the warfarin.

Hey Mikel

I was on warfarin and it was unbearable. It gave me palpitations, paranoia, anxiety, hair loss everything. But it seems that all ACs have similar issues in my experience.
