Stent at top of leg vein

Hi,

I've posted a couple of times on here before. I got my results from Guy and St Thomas's hospital in June from a MRI, bloods and vein ultrasound to say that I have insufficient blood flow in my right leg from my two DVT's 11 years ago and moderate post thrombotic syndrome. I am on a waiting list to have a stent fitted at the top of my leg vein but it's a bit experimental as no one has investigated fully the state of my veins and we don't know if it will work. I've got a lot of 'dont knows' in my mind. I'm pleased I'm having something done because it's been a long journey to this both physically and mentally and I know without any intervention that the leg will get worse but is there anyone here with experience of having key hole surgery to have a mesh stent put in? Any thoughts, experiences greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm also going back on warfarin for 6 months too.

You have had a real time of it haven't you with all that going on.

With the Nhs with regard to waiting for supposedly non urgent things it means no health service!

In fairness they are great when it's to do with urgent things and they see you quite quickly.
