I feel your pain.

I had a DVT back in August last year it was from my groin all the way down my thigh and right behind my knee. I was off work 4.5 months I've just returned to work it's still not right.

I wasn't given compression stockings took 4 months to get them I've not got post thrombotic syndrome it's terrible some days.

This is now my 3Rd blood clot all the clots have been in the right leg.

Hope you make a speedy recovery

Best wishes

Tracey

Have you got a clotting abnormality.

I've got factor 5 leiden clotting abnormality.

I was diagnosed 18 years ago.

I'm on rivoxaban for life now my warfrin levels wouldn't stabilise I was taking pain killers for my leg so it interfered with my inr.

Crutches are so hard to use I've never had them but I tried my sons when he broke his foot.

Hope you feel better soon

Hi willcat I was on crutches a couple of years ago after breaking a bone in my foot followed by a DVT. Stairs are scary. I found the only way I felt secure was to copy the grandchildren and go up and down on my bottom. Not dignified but it worked! Hope your pain eases soon and you get a bit more mobile.
