I've been having a right bleedin time on Clexane.

Having been taken off Warfarin and put on Clexane in preparation for an abscess removal from my bum I have noticed I seem to bleed gallons through a pin hole and it just don't wanna stop.

My first experience of this was in hospital, pre op when I accidently pulled the cannula out of the back of my hand while sleeping. I awoke to find the white sheet of the bed had turned red. I looked at my hand to find blood dripping from it and it wasn't in a hurry to stop.

I called the nurse and she applied pressure, changed the sheet and all was well. The next bleed was post op when I was at home and awoke to find the wound left from the abscess removal had been bleeding for some considerable time and once again the packing, pad and bed sheet was soaked in blood and it was still coming. A phone call to my GP and rushed trip down to the nurse put things right again but I've always clotted fairly quick on warfarin , it seems its a completely different story on Clexane.

I'll be glad when my INR is back within the 2-3,zone (1.4 at the moment and climbing) and I can stop using clexane

Sounds like you've had a horrendous time. Not seen any comments on this aspect of Clexane in my time on the forum.

I've replied because I have a procedure due early May and Clexane has been prescribed for the period I come off Warfarin. (due to AF and recent DVT) Your post will prompt me to ask some questions <thanks>, though hopefully someone in the know here will reply to your question shortly.
