Hi, I sometimes get numbness and a ache in my left hand, it comes and goes and haven't had it for a while now. I had it checked and the nerves are ok?

Best wishes

I get days of it when it wakes me up at night and then it disappears for a while. I will be mentioning to the doctor when I next see him.

I often wake with partial numbness or 'pins & needles' in my hands. For me, it can be attributed to sleeping in one position for an extended time. Once I begin gentle movement of my neck and shoulders, it's relieved.

Warmly,

I don't have this problem, but I understand some people have a similar problem which can be caused by either elbow damage or carpel tunnel syndrome, depending on which fingers suffer. In these situations a doctor or physiotherapist shold be able to help.

I mentioned it to the doctor and he didin't seem that concerned but to just keep an eye on it and to mention it to my specialist next time I see him. I am thinking it may be elbow damage on my right side as I badly hit my elbow last year. Mornings are now being affected. Doing my hair, brushing teeth, eating breakfast etc starts off tingling in my fingers. I also get some numbness at night on my left but not during the day. I have trigger finger in my left thumb but only at night .

Yes I do. I have mentioned it to doctors & neurologists, and they have tested nerve conduction & say its ok, and thus passed it off. However, if others are getting this condition, shouldn't doctors take notice>
