Has anyone in the group had success with cymbalta for pain and depression?

I couldn’t tolerate it and it made me feel more awful but many people get good relief from it. (I had better luck with its cousin venlafaxine XR but couldn’t take the sides effects there either).

In any case, it’s worth a try!!!

PS. I’m getting sick and tired of being told by doctors that AMN doesn’t cause pain...especially in women, and to “take a Tylenol or ibuprofen”. I’d love for them to spend a day or 2 in my body! Sorry just had to vent.

I’m right with you. The pain makes my life just miserable and it’s constant 24/7. Most days I’m just laying. I have an appointment to see a physician for a medical marijuana card. I want to try suppositories where there’s no high as it’s not ingested nor inhaled. Has anyone tried this?

I have my card and have tried a few extracts for medical cannabis where you just put drops under your tongue. Most of them were non-impairing (don’t get you high). I got mixed up and took the wrong dose of one once (too much) and all it did was make me hungry and my eyes got a little bit bloodshot but no mental impairment. I will say over a month or so it really made a difference with the neuropathy/parenthesis but not my back pain or radiating leg pain. I might try it again.

I’ve taken CBD oil also but it didn’t help me with leg pain either. My 1 oz. bottle is 3,000 mgs. of cannabinoid concentrate (30 mgs/2-3 drops) and was taking about 24 drops a day/240 mgs. daily. We’re just not getting THC. The 2 suppositories were 100 mgs each (70 mg THC and 30 mg CBD) so that’s 140 of THC! And I didn’t even feel a thing, no high at all. The downfall is the cost is high. If I could make my own I could make the strength that works for me and cost would be much lower. If people with cancer are using 500 mgs. a day of THC, we surely need to increase but without the negative effects. I’ll let u know if I get there.

I've had neuropathy in my legs and feet for two years now. Nothing helps except exercise and warmth.

I had some. Never worked up the nerve to take any. Gave it to my mum, she has shocking back pain. Gave her diarrhea. She have up on it.

As far as antidepressants go, I liked Paroxetine. I felt great on that. Sexual dysfunction a-go-go, though.

I did 10 years ago. I found no difference other than taking away my ability to have an orgasm.

160mg of Cymbalta and 150mg Lyrica together has has worked really well for me in the last year or so now.

No wonder it hasn’t done much for me. I’m only on 60 mg. I’ll be talking to my doctor soon.

Sorry 120mg I'm on 2 x 60mg tabs. It's the most you can have apparently. But it is the combination of this and Lyrica I find working best. I planned on weening off the Lyrica but it was too hard.

It didn't help with my neuropathic pain. My pain management specialist says that I've exhausted all the options - now I just live with the constant pain on a daily basis. Today's a pretty bad day - it feels like someone is burning my left foot with a torch. Nothing I can do about it, though, so I try my best to accept it and move on as if it wasn't hurting. Some days this is easier than others.

I've been away from this forum for a while, as my family and I have had a pretty busy summer. I joined a wheelchair basketball team this summer, which has been a nice distraction from health issues and pain.
