I have thinning hair and saw GP again who sent me for blood tests and I am low in zinc. i am hoping they can prescribe something and my hair will start thickening again. This has been getting me down as I lose loads every morning when I brush my hair.

saw the dermatologist who discovered my low zinc levels. I was prescribed an effervescent zinc which made a pleasant drink. My levels are still struggling. So far there is not a great improvement in my hair, TBH, but all these things take a while to work through the system. If you can afford it Solgar sell a chelated Zinc tablet which you may like to get started on if your doctor is taking a while to get round to seeing you.
I buy zinc tablets from Holland & Barrett, I also buy a Better You B12 spray (cheaper from Amazon).
Have now been on zinc tablets for 4 months and can see no difference whatsoever and still losing loads of hairs each morning. Feeling very, very depressed about it.
