A friend gave me a container of basic green Palmolive dish liquid. I checked the ingredients. It didn't list glycols, but it had "dyes" and "fragrance." I did a load of dishes and broke out in hives. That bottle went directly in the trash. I thought I'd come on here and warn people.
I've been using lemon scented Ajax with no breakouts thus far. Do people know of any other safe/natural dishwashing products I could try?

Many, many cleaning products have harsh chemicals, including the glycols, and do not have to list them on the labels. The artificial colors alone are sure to include PG/PEG. I use Vermont Soap Co. castile soap for handwashing dishes and make up my own detergent (1 part Borox, 1 part Arm & Hammer Laundry Booster and 1/2 part salt) for my dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent.
Thank you for the heads up on this! That probably explains why the eczema on my hands is so bad; I had chalked it up to winter weather and hand sanitizer. I need to go back and do some research and pull out the dishwashing gloves until then.
I saw there was a Class Action Lawsuit against the Free and Clear Palmolive listed in a site called Top Class Actions. (I did not know anything about this site) they said there was methylisothiazolinone. Apparently, they say it is considered an allergen. That’s the “free and clear”! I use Castile soap too!
