Paraffin Wax safe?

My son's hands have debilitating eczema - they are dry, cracked, bleeding. I've read that doing paraffin wax dips helps restore moisture so we want to try. I can order unscented, uncolored wax. Is there a risk of PG or PEG in this? I can't find any ingredient information.

I have used paraffin on my hands for arthritis and did not have any reactions. If it's pure paraffin with no other ingredients, you should be fine.

Personally, I would stay away from paraffin because it is a petroleum-based product. I would look into some other natural ingredients like coconut oil. healthline.com/nutrition/co...

Update: We did a small section, then entire hands - no negative reactions to paraffin at all. Amazing how smooth and moist it makes your skin feel! Note -we used no fragrance, no coloring wax. Thanks to all for replies.
