Rib pain

Hi I am a 60 years old woman my name is Maureen I have have had a pain in my rub cage for several years on and off .it is like spasm which go up in to the back of my throat an d can be very painful. Never lasting much longing than thirty minutes . I have been to the doctors who say it is heart burn but it is on the right hand side of my body and I wonder if any one know what it could be
