Amlodipine

My BP reading varies from 155/65 to 125/65. I have been taking the 10mg Amlo for some years, is the 65 a bit low and should I ease up on it.?

I am also still recovering (6 months later) from radiotherapy and chemotherapy for a mass in the pharynx. I am 76 and the treatment did knock me severely, so that may be affecting the figures.

Blood pressure of 125/65 iss perfect by modern standards. I would worry slightly about the reasons for the 155 reading if it was whilst relaxed and resting.

My lower readings are usually below 60, so I wouldn’t worry too much about 65, best to check with your GP, I had to record my BP readings for a week (2x a day) to show that my BP was too low, the lower reading was going into the 40s! I had my medication reduced.

Thanks for that, I should have said 135 to 155, the 125 was a recent one and a rarity. I was thinking the 65 was a bit low and possibly I could do with reducing the daily 10 mg Amlopine. I am just overthinking things. I have my BP checked every time I go to the hospital and nobody has ever passed comment which surprises me.Thanks again.
