update on my post yesterday

I talked to the GP today, as regards my medication. I have been told to stop the Amlodipine. It was making me feel awfully lightheaded, which didn’t improve till after lunch, so I am relieved I now won’t have to take it and I have to stay on 40mg of Sotalol. I would have liked to have come off Sotalol, but if it is going to cause me high blood pressure, I’d rather stay on it. The Dr said my BP readings of between 105/ 60 & 115/ 65, when I was on Amlodipine, were a bit low, so that is why I was feeling so lightheaded. My usual readings, before I tried to stop the Sotalol, were 130/ 63, which the GP said were fine and I didn’t need BP medication. I just hope I don’t have problems stopping the Amlodipine. I cut the tablet in half today, but the Dr said to just stop it and take my blood pressure readings every day for a couple of weeks and take them into the surgery. So 🤞 there'll be no problems.
