Wondering if anyone has experienced this? I’ve been in Pradaxa for about 5-6 weeks and a recent blood panel showed strong markers for RA. No previous symptoms, etc. Just seems to coincide with taking Pradaxa.

Pradaxa and Rheumatoid Arthritis
Hi
I would presume no connection. I've been on PRADAXA twice a day for 5.3 years.
I got a rash but can safely say it was not the Pradaxa but the yellow and pink Synthroid. Changing to the 50 white and much improved and it should leave me altogether.

Theres a lot of articles on Google regarding drug-induced auto-immune conditions. I certainly considered that the ‘Lupus-like’ condition my father was diagnosed with aged 81 was possibly caused by Edoxaban. He had been happily on warfarin for years & then the GP changed him to Edoxaban. Over the course of the following year he broke out in a terrible itchy rash & started to have severe weakening of the muscles & joints. It may have been coincidence or it may have been an interaction between medications - he was on so many different pills & the diagnosis of Lupus meant he had to add even more to the collection.
Hi I've been on Pradaxa for perhaps a couple of decades. Dropped from 125 twice a day to 110 when I turned 80 six years ago. Also Bisoprolol 2.5 per day. Not noticed any specific reactions except enhanced bleeding following minor scrapes. I have survived two major cycling related traumas, first one was a broken hip and compound hand fracture, second was 9 breaks in ribs, collar bone, punctured lung and crushed vertebra. Did have some incredible bruises but it hasn't put me off riding - although I no longer cover 6,000 miles pa nowadays. Do get breathless and suffer muscle weakness, but the electric motor on my trike helps me up any hills. Cheers
