I'm on a long covid facebook group of 114,000 people. So many have heart issues after covid. So my question is how do you know if it's A.Fib. or covid symptoms. Maybe covid can cause A.Fib.?

Covid symptoms vs A. Fib.
l think there is a link here for some unfortunate folks. I have heard reports that the vaccine alone has caused AF., or worsened it. The same with Covid itself. I think this is a very rare event as are all side effects. We are all different.
There are two brothers both doctors on UK TV and one who caught Covid 19 when it first arrived from China developed AF as a result. Covid had not even been invented when I first had AF some twenty or more years ago. Covid is known to cause arrhythmias in some people but AF is just one of many different arrhythmias.
The evidence for a link between COVID and AF and other arrythmias is, I think, well known, certainly my AF returned when I got COVID and every vaccine I had triggered more.
I have now not had COVID for 12 months and not had vaccine for 2 years now - my AF burden has reduced back to 2%. But not just COVID but any infection tends to trigger episodes.
The more severe heart issues from COVID & the vaccines have been well reported but still we have no hard data, one has to ask why is this being ignored?
I already had diagnosed AF and I would suspect that many of the reported recently arrythmias may well have been there undiagnosed prior to the pandemic as AF is often silent so many do not know they have it.
Severe or long viral infections, including COVID-19, can in a very few cases trigger arrhythmias, including AF through inflammation of the body primarily the heart.
Hi
Have a COVID test if you think maybe.
But COVID is sore throat, and trouble swallowing with fever.
AF is heart. Not regular beats but irregular. Rapid or slow beats with flutters, palpitations also with some folks. Sweating with rapid. Causing anxiety.
If you are anxious about the jab causing inflamation around the heart, talk to your doctor about taking 1 x antibiotics prior an hour or so and 1 after.
Eat 1/2 banana prior and after and drink plenty water or with lemon and a little glucose.

Antibiotics are for fighting bacterial infections. Is there evidence of covid 19 vaccine causing bacterial infections?
Hi
Read up on prevention use of antibiotics.
In dental they are used if you have a heart murmur other heart conditions.
Covid jabs has been proven to cause inflamation around the heart. That is what I am trying to prevent. I have an added thyroid cancer return investigation. Remember Boris Johnson who had our nurse look after him. OK it was COVID and it was to d with his lungs but I had a Hep B jab and it gave me Hep B proved by blood test which showed antigen response.
I was a blood donor having A RH neg so they checked the left sample. I showed a very low resistence to Hep B. Probably due to a blood transfusion in 1987. This was now 1997.
So could I figure this our? My cousin JARMAN was the HEALTH MINISTER so I wrote when I returned to NZ (after working 6 years UK). He stated that I must have contracted Hep B coincidently! ???
As the jab I had was a synthetic one - like the COVID JAB Pfizer. I have had 8. All monthlyish.
I have never had COVID. Flu August 2023. I don't have the LIVE flu injections.
So as you can see my intuitional thinking. The hospital reminds me of when my next COVID jab is due.

Think about it -what is inflamation of the heart? I have a heart murmur.
"Antibiotic prophylaxis has been used in dentistry for patients at risk of infective endocarditis or prosthetic joint infection. The scientific rationale for prophylaxis was to eliminate or reduce transient bacteraemia caused by invasive dental procedures. "
"Endocarditis occurs when bacteria or fungi from another part of the body enter the bloodstream and collect on the heart's inner lining, or endocardium."
So antibiotics are used in the circumstances you're referring to (dental prophylaxis) as protection against bacterial infection.
I don't see how that applies to having a needle with Covid 19 vaccine unless there's evidence covid 19 vaccines cause bacterial infections?
Hi
The Covid Jab research does prove that some folk get cardiomylitis.
I know it as inflamation of the heart. I have a severely dilation to my left atrium at stroke and 2 ECHOs later.
On my 8th jab the Chemist said "great that you did have the 2 antibiotics!".
Why because unbeknown to me I did have a UTI but the nurse did, put it in my notes but the Dr didn't see it so I went off and had my jab.
Day 3 counting day of jab I had 2 x several hours apart heart 'flop'. and on Day 4 another but single heart 'flop'.
Chemist said it could have been from UTI but Dr thought COVID jab. I also had momentary vertigo.
So antibiotics were commenced on Day 7.
Deciding what to do for 9th jab in January. Chemist said COVID for me not good.

It would be v interesting to know of the 114,000 in the group what percentage have had one or more C-jabs; I read somewhere 60%+ in the UK had the jab.
I have also read the spike protein in Covid and the C-jab cause in many an inflammation off the heart which in turn for many can cause AF.
I haven't had Covid and I won't be having any jabs for the above reason and until all the true data comes out. I would also like to thank again this group for highlighting the issue very early on when C-jabs were being first rolled out.
Others have responded to the last part of your question but as to the how do you know what's AF and what's Covid, the symptoms, certainly in my case, we're wildly different.
If your body is weak with illness, and many other factors, it can cause Afib - not just Covid.
I can't help taking the cynical view and wonder how many of those 114,000 may be anti-vaxxers, cloud seeders, attention seekers, wind-up merchants, conspiracy theorists and fake news spreaders which Facebook tends to nurture.

If you have AF then Covid is definitely one of the triggers for an episode if you’re paroxysmal and make your AF more symptomatic whether you’re persistent AF or paroxysmal AF. This goes for other infections too or anything that raises inflammation.
Best wishes

i had afib after covid, not a bad bout of covid either!
My AFib started after I caught a nasty coughing virus at my son’s wedding in March 2014, which put 2 other people in hospital. This was long before Covid appeared. Virus’s can cause AFib to start. I got an AFib episode in February last year. I’d had a bit of a cough for a few days, but didn’t feel ill. I always had to go to hospital when I got AFib and they tested me for Covid when I got there and I was very surprised to find I’d tested positive. They said it was probably the Covid that started that episode of AFib. I’ve since had an ablation and am just praying that my ablation holds, if I get Covid again. I’ve had all the Covid vaccinations so that was probably why I didn’t get it badly.
My afib has definitely taken a turn for the worse since the advent of covid although to my knowledge I have never had it! I had no episodes in 2019 and 7 in 2020. I have had one jab in 2021 - the Janssen. My episodes did become more frequent afterwards but they might have done anyway. In Dec 23 I had the first repiratory virus I have had since Mar 2016. The covid test was negative but I had 3 afib episodes in 4 days the last lasting 22hrs - unprecedented for me.
AF is all things to all people and it has been around long before CoVid ever got distributed around the planet. It all depends on who you speak to .... but .... AF can be triggered by genetics, food, hot or cold drinks, alcohol, coffee ... and the list can go on and on.
My paternal side of my family seem to be the ones to whom AF inflicts itself, my grandfather survived a series of strokes back in the early 1960's but no AF diagnosis that I am aware of. My daughter in her early 30's was diagnosed during both her pregnancies. One of my cousins father was the brother of my grandfather. This cousin has AF.
My AF diagnosis occurred in early 2010. AF can be symptomatic or asymptomatic, when mine kicked off nothing to do with CoVid - just like a few squadrons of Butterflies in dogfights in my chest - or a plastic bag of damp earth with a mob of earthworms wriggling away. Again, 15 years ago - nothing to do with CoVid.So, go figure all that lot.
The NHS has a web page that will tell you, and distinguish the difference between CoVid and AF.
I developed arrhythmia right after a covid booster. I didn't have covid and had only ever had ectopics before. This happened with two boosters. In hospital for 4 days to see whether it was AF. It wasn't but the consultant said it was almost certainly caused by the vaccine. Had no boosters since and no more arrhythmias.
I believe the COVID vaccine can cause AF. I had 5 of the initial vaccinations, but developed AF. I believe it was the vaccinations that caused my AF, so not having any more.
Covid in August of 2022 started my arrhythmias again. First ablation was 2015. This led to my second ablation in January of 2023.
My heart is also affected by the vaccines and no longer take them.
