PPI’s

Hi,

I have been prescribed 15mg Lansoprazole to help protect possible stomach/gastric bleeding caused by Dabigatran.

Anyone else prescribed Dabigatran taking a PPI?

Do the benefits of taking PPI outweigh the possible risk of stomach bleed?

Hiya,

This is a dated from ( my homeland ) the Australian Government Dept of Health Theraputic Goods Administration. It is aimed at health care professionals but you may find it of some interest.

Have no idea if NHS or NICE have produced a similar analysis for UK.
