Morning everyone. Just wondered if anyone could help me with this. I take 75mg Flecainide twice a day plus Apixaban and Bisoprolol and am going to be travelling to Miami in March. Obviously the time difference will throw my tablet taking right out. I travel for 10 hours but basically am in the day/morning when I arrive but should be taking my tablets designated for the night. What should I do? Thank you to everyone in advance.

CAN ANYONE HELP?
hey I fly to Miami too in march! When I have asked before when going long haul to my pharmacist at my GP surgery, she said most important is to take my apixaban 12 hours apart. When I was in Texas last year, I moved my tablets an hour each day so I could get into an am/pm routine. I just set timers on phone. Ask your pharmacist too. Rachel
I never realised til a fellow sufferer told me,, I just used to take apixaban in the morning and one in the evening never timed .. .lol I do it 12 hrs apart now
so 12 real actual hours..ignoring timezones. How would you tweak it to get back into your normal routine I wonder ? If travelling over a lot of time zones it could really throw it out ? Just wondering lol
I have moved the timing of my Flecainide 100gms dose by up to 6 hrs without any ill effect.
Same I have one in the am one in the evening ..12 hrs apart only cos it coincides with apixaban….but if I have an episode I take my flecainide early
I went to Greece from Australia and I asked cardiologist how do I manage time zone, he said after a few months the drugs are in your system and not to worry about changing to same times morning and night when I got there. The two days before we left I delayed taking them for 4 hours and all good. When I got there I just went to my 6.30am and 6.30pm normal routine
Good Morning, it is understandable to be concerned about the time difference when travelling long-haul, before travelling I suggest a brief catch up with your GP, they will be able to help with how to adjust your medication safely and any other questions you have in advance.

Please make sure you have good travel insurance, I travelled from Scotland to NY with SVT and fortunately didn't need it but, glad I had it 😁
