Is it normal to experience constant lower back pain due to Bisprolol? i have asked to swap back to Propranolol which i used to take with any problems .

I am also finding it doesn't lower my Heart rate much as it is constantly around 74-85 BPM unless in AFib which it goes even higher.

if it's not the Bisprolol causing my back pain then it may be the Apixaban i started taking at the same time.

Both Bisoprolol and Propranolol gave me awful leg aches. I'm back on my usual Metoprolol once more, that just makes me feel weary - you can't win!

I've been on Bisoprol for a few years now and not had any problems. I get it checked out first

Constant lower back pain, have you had this checked out because it could be related to something entirely different ?

I contacted my GP yesterday who has changed me back to Propranolol to see if it makes a difference. If not I'm to go back. Thanks for replies

When I started on Bisoprolol I had immediate generalised swelling in my abdomen and legs so much so that I had to wear some new emergency purchase tracksuit trousers to be comfortable… I was in a quandary … try for a few more days before going to the doctor ( I believe I did need something to help me with my very symptomatic PAF I had at that time), or go straight to the surgery and demand an alternative medication without the side effects.( I hate complaining).

The solution was simple, new trousers of the same size of those that had gone (accidentally) into the hottest wash available!!( why does anyone need anything hotter than 60 degs?) .

The swelling was relieved immediately ,bisoprolol continued (happily not currently needed) …and hopefully some skinny person content to wear my relatively new “skinny fit” chinos that I’m told went to the Oxfam shop.

Later that year I saw the words “ Correlation may not mean Causation” … for me, in this case, very true

Hi

Are you taking a STATIN like Avorstatin?

That will do it.

I used to have Avorstatin and it was exactly the same pain. I'm on a different Statin now which was fine
